Professional communication

You have 90 minutes before a client call. A colleague’s draft overstates a result, finance needs the corrected figure, and the client asked for a one-page brief. What should you do first?

  • Send the current draft so the client has something to read.
  • Correct the figure with finance, then write a brief that does not overstate the result.
  • Rewrite the whole report before speaking to finance.
  • Ask the client to postpone because the draft is unfinished.

OutcomeShared the certificate with applications and used the profile to practise stakeholder writing.
