Collaborative decision-making
Prioritise, delegate and manage disagreement under constraints.
What you will learn
- Prioritise work by outcome, risk and dependency.
- Delegate with clear ownership and authority.
- Resolve disagreement while preserving decision quality.
List the outcome, deadline, dependencies and consequences of delay. Priority should follow impact and risk rather than whichever request arrived most loudly.
Good delegation names the result, owner, authority, deadline and check-in point. Assigning a task without the information or power to complete it is not effective delegation.
Constructive disagreement tests ideas rather than status. State the decision criterion, invite contrary evidence and document the final owner and rationale.
