Strategic judgement

A restructuring would cut delivery time but move work to a vendor that staff do not trust. The board wants a recommendation tomorrow. Which consideration should weigh most in the first recommendation?

  • Speed of delivery, because time is the only board metric.
  • Staff sentiment, because no change should proceed without unanimous support.
  • The delivery gain against the operational and trust risk of the vendor move, with a named owner for each risk.
  • Delay any recommendation until a full culture survey is complete.
