Preparation
How do you prepare for a skills assessment?
You prepare for a skills assessment by learning the format before the day, practising the competencies the pathway names, and arriving able to work at the sitting's pace. GlobalPass+ pathways run from 60 minutes (Foundations) to 110 minutes (Professional Leadership), and a retake of a formal assessment waits 30 days.
Prepare for the format, then the competencies
Start with the pathway page for your stage. It names the competencies, the duration and the kind of tasks used, such as checking an assumption, evaluating a source, or prioritising incomplete information. Practice material exists so the format is familiar before a paid sitting; practice does not issue a certificate and its scores are not the formal result.
Practise the competencies, not memorised items. Formal items are not published, and learning answers by rote does not transfer when the task changes. Worked practice on reasoning, data and written judgement under a timer is the preparation that carries into the sitting.
Rules, timing and retakes
A formal sitting is timed with a server-owned clock. Follow the instructions for the form you are taking on tool use: unauthorised assistance presented as unaided work is an integrity problem, and a result can be withheld while an integrity review is open. GlobalPass+ does not claim an AI detector; review is a human process, not an automated accusation.
If the result is not what you need, a retake waits 30 days. Use that interval on the weakest competencies in your profile rather than resitting immediately. One sitting is one measurement; preparation between sittings is what changes it.
Questions
Foundations is 60 minutes, University Entry 75, Undergraduate Benchmark and Postgraduate Readiness 90, Graduate Launch 100, and Professional Leadership 110. Each pathway page states its own timing.
A retake of a formal assessment waits 30 days. Practice forms can be used to learn the format in the meantime, but practice does not issue a certificate.
