For employers
How can an employer verify a skills certificate?
An employer verifies a GlobalPass+ certificate by entering the credential ID printed beside the QR code on the free verification page. The result shows whether the credential is active, expired, suspended or revoked, with the candidate's display name, assessment, score, band and issue and expiry dates.
The verification check, step by step
Ask the candidate for the credential ID on their certificate, in the form GPP-YYYY-XXXXXXXXXXXX, or follow the QR code. Enter the ID on the verification page. No account and no fee are required for basic verification.
Read the status first. Active means the record is current. Expired or suspended means the record exists but should not be treated as current. Revoked or invalid means the credential must not be relied on, and an unknown ID never returns a valid result. Then check that the name, assessment and score match what the candidate presented.
What verification does not show
Verification confirms that GlobalPass+ issued the credential and that it is still in good standing. It shows limited public data on purpose: private candidate detail is not exposed to anyone holding the ID.
It does not prove identity beyond the name on the record, and it is not a hiring recommendation. Pair it with your normal identity, right-to-work and interview checks. If a certificate image and the verification page disagree, trust the verification page: images can be edited, the record is the source.
Questions
No. Basic credential verification is free and does not require an account. Enter the credential ID from the certificate to see its status.
An unknown or invalid ID never returns a valid badge. Ask the candidate to re-share the ID exactly as printed, and do not treat an unverifiable certificate as verified.
