How universities can measure graduate employability skills
Most universities can show what students studied. Fewer can show the transferable skills graduates leave with.
Grades remain essential. They do not, on their own, describe reasoning, data literacy, communication, digital judgement or how a student makes decisions under constraint.
A cohort-level Graduate Skills Benchmark uses one online assessment — typically Graduate Launch — to give every final-year student a score, competency profile and verifiable certificate before they leave campus. Participation can be tracked without opening private results.
Candidate results stay candidate-controlled. Universities sponsor access, invite the cohort and verify certificates when a graduate chooses to share them.
